Brigsley Parish Council is a statutory consultee of North East Lincolnshire Council for planning applications within the Parish of Brigsley. Applications are discussed at the Parish Council meeting, of which are open to members of the public and the press should they wish to attend. The Parish Council do not have the power to authorise or veto a planning application. The role of the Parish Council is to supply comments and observations based on their knowledge of the village, and from comments and observations made by residents. Copies of the plans which are sent to the Parish Council are always available at the meetings at which they are discussed for residents to view. Residents can also view plans via North East Lincolnshire planning portal.
